These begin with my own body: self-portraits in different poses, fully nude and exposed. They serve as the base.

Then I work with and against them. A series of digital processes pulls each image through the screen until skin and light become the same material. A record of a body turns into the residue of one.

This series builds upon Remnants, which acted as an autopsy of the mind. corpus stays with the body that has to carry it, and seeks to expand on and further the study where both mind and body connect. Ultimately it is similar to my approach with Remnants in practice, though now turned and focused on the body it came from: a self-portrait pushed until it reads as an extension of me rather than a picture of me.

What is left is neither the man in the photograph nor a clean abstraction. It's a vestige, caught mid-signal and still legible as me.

Each one tracks how my relationship to my body has changed since my neurological symptoms worsened in 2025. Living with complex, contrasting medical conditions has meant living inside constraints I can't put into words. These works are where I make the attempt at visualizing the inexpressible nature of what I deal with on a daily basis.

These are the most private images I have, expressed through the recovering lens of my inner eye.
